Thoughts of Christmas

It's the holidays, and it's been more than two months since I updated last. I'm fine, thank you.
Continuation school (it says that on google translate, so that's the word I'll use for my school from now on) is still totally awesome. In fact, it's even more awesome, and it's getting better and better every day. I think it's the best thing that has ever happened in my life. It's the holidays, and I miss school so much! I'll even venture that I'm more excited about going back to school after New Year's than I am about Christmas.

Well, last Thursday, we had Christmas-theme-day, and because we live on the school, it was at dinner. We had duck, white potatoes, brown potatoes, brown sauce and red cabbage. It was delicious! And then the choir (including me) sang a couple songs, and we had Ris á la Mande (spelled? oO) for dessert, and the "elfs" were revealed. Danes will know what I mean.
And then SANTA CAME! It's the first, and propably last, time Santa has come at Christmas. We all got presents - just small, for-fun presents. I got post-it notes xD
Then the teachers made... a kind of singing performance about our school. It dured maybe 10 minutes or so, and we laughed so hard! God, I love our teachers. They are the most awesome teachers I sure will ever have! The performance ended with us all running through the whole school, all holding hands, singing "Nu' det jul igen," a Danish Christmas song. After that, we all sat in our meeting place, the Galaxy, were one of our teachers, Lone, read us two christmas stories.
After that, we had to go to bed. I had a strange feeling of happiness and sadness at the same time - it had really been the best Christmas in my life, but I also realized; this was the only Christmas we'd have with each other. And half the year has passed. It made me cry.

I'm home for Christmas at the moment, and we're going to a Christmas party at my aunt's the 24th. I'm giving my mum and dad two pictures I've made in art class, but apart from that, I'm not exchanging presents with anyone this year. I simply haven't had time to go Christmas shopping.
I know I will receive a sweater from my parents, because I was with them out buying it. I like picking my own presents. Gives me something to look forward to.
Anyway, I'm excited to eat a lot of delicious Christmas food and opening a few presents. I am also excited to attend school again.

Until I update again, I wish you all a very merry Christmas, and a happy New Year!

A whole lot of updating

It is now one month and 9 days since I last updated x.x Gawsh, it sure does feel like forever. Boarding school is so friggin amazing! People are so nice, even the teachers, I've made some quite nice friends, and everything is just fantastic n_n
Last week we had our "line-subject" in all classes - which for me meant art class from 8.30 to 15.00! Oh joy  We made papermaché animal trophies; my group made a hippo, and it turned out so cool! Among other trophies were a ladybug, a unicorn, a rhino and a frog, just to mention some. We also made some paintings inspired by some guy with a very naivistic style, and they turned out very nice, too :D

And then yesterday, since it is now autumn break, my parents took me to see Les Miserables in Copenhagen! 8D I've been looking forward to it for so long, and it was so incredibly awesome! I srsly cried during the last scene. The actors were fantastic, and the scenery, and I just LOVE the music. I bought the soundtrack today, along with Regina Spektor's new album.

On another note, two people want me to draw them stuff for their birtdays and I feel quite stressed o.o I haven't even started yet >_< I'm sorry, guyz. They will be done... sometime. I hope.

I should totally submit some of the stuff I've made in art class, just to let you know that I'm still alive. But alas, boarding school doesn't leave much time for the deviantArtz, and we don't have a scanner at the school. If I get some decent pictures of the stuff we make, I might post some up, but for now I don't think I'll submit much.

Keep kewl Cx

Hey, this is a quick little update on my current life at the boarding school.
One word: AMAZING. It's so fantastic here, people are so nice and spirits are high! Art class is cool, the teachers is nice, the food is great (at least most of the time xD) and gawsh, I'm having such an awesome time 8D
Not much time for the interwebz, though, so I'm not much here.
That's really all I wanted to say, and there's tea in a minute, so byee ^^

Ok, I've been putting this off for a bit, but here goes.
I'm going on boarding school tomorrow :D I'm so excited, it's gonna be great. I chose art as my main subject, so I may be submitting some quite different art.
BUT I'm probably not going to have very much time for computer there. I expect to completely vanish for the first week, and then I'll see how much time I'll have for the rest of the year. This means that I won't be responding to messages and commenting on stuff very often. I don't know how many would get annoyed by it, but just saying.
That said, I'M SO EXCITED :excited: Srsly, I can't wait.

On a completely different note, idk how many of you know that I am in fact a published author XD (This sounds so proffessional :XD: It just means that I have written a short-story which got published along with 29 other young people's short-stories.)
Well, I got a mail this other day, from the publisher of this book, and they asked if they could use my short-story in another book! :D
And here's the good part: I GET FRIGGIN 2750 DKKR FOR IT  This is about 500 dollars, if that helps you. Innit cool? And if they make more than the estimated amount, I get paid for that too. Durr, I'm so happy :D

OK, that's all I have to say for now.

England was awesome 8D It really was. Even though the weather was cloudy and rainy, it was LUV. I mean, finally you can actually UNDERSTAND the signs on the road, and communicate with people. Srsly.

Now, I'm gonna rant a bit about my vacation. You can skip this part if you like, 'cuz you're probably not as interested in my holidays as I am.
Anyway, we left at 8 in the morning last wednesday, and headed for Calais. However, at about 8 in the evening we stopped for the night at some Belgian hotel, which was pretty expensive. So next day we reached Calais and took the ferry to Dover. (Tomorrow to Calais, then a ship across the sea. Random Les Mis lyric oO)
We drove from Dover to Salisbury where we spent the night at some inn. All right, boring part over for now -w-'.
The next day we went to see STONEHENGE(!!) which was all cool and stuff. You got these walkie-talkie-like thingies, which told you a deal about the stones, which was nice.
Then we drove on towards Bath, but on the way we found this town called Bradford on Avon. THIS IS AN AWESOME CITY. It has all these old buildings and stuff, and we had an awesome walk and ate in a restaurant which looked as if it was about to collapse. We found a bed&breakfast for two nights.
Next day we had a trip to Bath, which was also awesome. We saw the Roman Baths, for one thing (Bath has these warm springs, which were considered holy at the time, and the Romans build these big swimming pools there. It had a sauna and everything) and some abbey. I also bought som secondhand Pratchett books there, for about £3 each, which is like half of the price at home.
Next we went to this town called Glastonbury, which is on the site of THE LEGENDARY KING ARTHUR's tomb. At least, his believed tomb. There was these really cool ruins of an old abbey. The town population was mainly hippies. We saw a store with a great big weed-sign in the window. There was also a lot of "occult wicca stores". You know, the ones who spell magik with a K and faeries or faeryes like that. I'm not even sure if they had found out one way to spell fairies. I propably would've been tempted to buy some of the stuff if it wasn't for Granny Weatherwax, who scorns things like that, and the prices. Instead, I bought a mosaic bookmark, because I always buy a bookmark on my vacations.
We slept at this horrible inn, which played LOUD music all night -.-
From Glastonbury we drove to Dartmoor (home of the Hound of the Baskerville OwO) and it was really beautiful. Unfortunately, the weather was pretty rainy, so we didn't really get a chance for walking, but what we saw was really pretty.
From Dartmoor, we really wanted to get a bit along the coast, but we couldn't find a place to sleep, so we ended up going back to Salisbury. We went to see the abbey, which had the tallest churchtower in England, I believe.
The last couple of days we spend in Dover, relaxing a bit, but also seeing the Dover Castle, which played some part in WW2. And then we went home.
Wheew, a lot of text. Sorry about that.

Three random strangers told me that they liked my hat. That's gotta count for something, right? Also, you'd think that you'd grow tired of English breakfast after ten days (you know, the bacon, eggs, tomato, sausage stuff) but you really just grow accustomed.

Okay, sketches. I brought a sketchbook of course. Last year I submitted all the sketches separately, but I realize now how cruel I was to my watchers ><. Instead, I think I'll just make a sketchdump, so you won't get spammed.
Speaking of spammed, I'm gonna have to work through 62 deviations in my inbox XD I don't think I can comment on all of it, so just know that your art is awesome, ok? :3

That's about it, then. Byee <3
